I'm Fabian Brugger.

I made explainer videos where they're produced at scale, and along the way I learned why good videos cost so much. Motura is my answer to that.

Fabian Brugger, founder of Motura

Where I come from

For years I worked at one of Europe's largest explainer video producers: animation, production, workflows. At some point I started scripting my own steps instead of repeating them by hand on every project, first with code, then with AI. What used to take days was suddenly done in hours. At the same quality.

That experience stayed with me. So I went out on my own.

Explainer videos are either expensive or they look cheap

A good video from an agency costs several thousand euros and takes weeks. The cheap alternative is template builders with the same stock characters every time, and it shows. For most small and medium-sized businesses that means either the budget doesn't work or the result doesn't.

For a long time there was nothing in between. That is exactly where Motura sits.

What has changed

The most demanding part of an explainer video was always the beginning: understanding what it is about, and turning that into a script people grasp right away. That took concept developers and copywriters, and their time is the reason a video costs so much.

That has changed. The large AI models can genuinely explain complex topics today, not just summarize them.

My advice, even though it costs me money

Sit down for half an hour with ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini and have your own topic explained to you. Push back, ask questions, cut anything that sounds too complicated. After a few rounds you have a voiceover script that works. No agency, no copywriter, no cost.

And if you want to turn it into a video that doesn't look like it came from a template: that's what I'm here for. You paste in the text, Motura turns it into a motion graphics video in your colors, with your logo. In about an hour.

My background is film, not computer science

I say this because a lot of people switch off at the word AI: too technical, something for programmers, not for me. I studied film and video editing and worked for years as a motion graphics artist. Animation is my craft. Programming never was.

I use AI the way anyone can: I say what I want and keep asking until it's right. That's how I've built things I could never have made on my own before. Websites that look like they came from Apple. Marketing strategies. And this very platform. The page you're on right now is the best example of what's possible today.

AI workshops for businesses

If you run a business that hasn't had much to do with AI so far, I offer workshops. Not a keynote on artificial intelligence, but something concrete: which tools fit your work, what they can genuinely do today, and how to put them to use starting Monday so your day-to-day work gets easier.

Send me a short note about what your business does. Then I'll tell you honestly whether a workshop is worth it for you.

A human looks at every video

However automated production is, no video goes out unseen. Before it reaches you, I watch it myself. What I don't like, you don't get.
